Hi. I’m Josh. A 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, in the UK. I’ve been playing guitar for three years, but I only took up acoustic guitar in January 2007. I’ve been singing a long time. To be fair, I’ve sung mainly in choirs. You may see that as...well….gay...but….to be honest I don’t care. It means I was trained and I know how music works.
I’m generally a fan of pretty much any kind of music you could throw at me. Whether it’s Jazz, Metal, Acoustic, Folk….anything. My favourite artists, currently, are Frank Turner, Biffy Clyro and Reuben. These three are all excellent—There’s links on my links page to their sites, and I highly recommend that you get a little of their music.
I’ve got a serious distain for rap music, though. I don’t know why, but I really don’t think it requires talent to talk fast, over a beat. Call me what you like. A cynic? A pompous little shit? I don’t really care. I do, however like Eminem, because I believe he’s an incredible musician—and whilst every other word seems to be ‘shit’ or ‘fuck’ - he’s still very talented and he needs the appreciation, because he deserves it.
